Server-side Load Balancing

For Highly-Available clusters created after June 16, 2022

You will see a special endpoint in your cluster dashboard that will automatically distribute traffic to one of the healthy nodes in your Typesense cluster.

If a node in unhealthy, traffic is automatically routed away to other nodes, when you use this endpoint to make API calls.

For Highly-Available clusters created before June 16, 2022

You will only see the individual hostnames for clusters created before June 16, 2022. Health-checking and traffic re-routing are done client-side in our official client libraries.
